1. What we collect

When you contact us, register for an account, request a quote, or download a guide, we collect: your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), and any details you choose to share about your book or project.

When you visit the site we collect anonymised usage data (page views, referrer, device class) through privacy-friendly analytics. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

2. Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, to deliver our services, to process payments, to send you the occasional newsletter or guide if you've opted in, and to comply with our legal obligations as an Indian business.

3. Who we share it with

We share information with service providers we use to deliver services to you — for example, a payment processor when you pay us, or our editorial team when they work on your manuscript. Every provider is contractually bound to use your data only to deliver services to us.

We do not sell your data to advertisers, brokers or any third party.

4. How long we keep it

Lead and project information: for the duration of our working relationship plus seven years (Indian tax and accounting retention).

Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

Manuscripts: stored encrypted while your project is active, deleted from our active systems within 90 days of project completion (with the option for you to request immediate deletion at any time).

5. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@penmanbooks.com from the address we have on file and we'll action it within 30 days.
